You recently fell ill, for quite a bit of time. It was at times very painful, at times very boring, and always exhausting. You haven't yet returned to your usual level of energy; maybe you'll get there eventually, and maybe you won't.

For now, you're spending time at home, trying to take it easy. For now, you're spending a lot of time making a quilt.

***

To play Dream Quilt, you'll need: a four-sided die, a tarot deck, and materials to make your quilt. Your quilt can be anything with separate layers or components: a collage, a playlist, a moodboard, a poem, or even actual tiny quilt.

The game file is a one-page color PDF.

***

Dream Quilt was inspired by Last Tea Shop, a lovely cozy one-pager by Spring Villager; Getting to Center, a book by Marlee Grace; the wonderful Sasuraibito Tarot by Stasia Burrington; and my own experiences with recurring headaches.

This game was written for the Reliquary Street Station Weekly Game Jams, Season 1, Episode 7: Butterfly, hosted by stargazersasha. This is an early version of this game submitted to make the jam deadline in time, so I may update it as I playtest it more!

As a final note, this game will not ask you to imagine or describe your sickness in any detail, though you can certainly do so if you like.

The imagery in the words is gorgeous! Super cosy and a lovely game to play for relaxation and inspiration. Can’t wait to begin my first quilt!

Thank you for the kind words! Would love to hear about your quilt :)
